A woman was out walking her dog when the two of them were attacked by an American Bulldog. The woman lost part of her middle finger in the attack and her dog, Franny was killed. The owner was cited and he or she could face charges; the American Bulldog will be put down and tested for rabies after 10-day quarantine.

UPDATE ON RED the BURNED PIT BULL PUPPY

There is a great deal of support flowing in for this sweet puppy. Red's story has captured the hearts of many residents as they look to open their doors and give Red a loving home. But there's a catch, it could be months before animal services can let him go home with a new family. Trimmer said the dog can’t be adopted out because he is classified as a “P.C. Dog”, meaning protective custody. His owner and the man who set him on fire, Tony Knoelle, was charged with animal cruelty. Three hundred people have called and said they wanted to adopt Red. The White Dog and I wish you the best of luck!!

Mary Tyler Moore has a pit bull name Spanky and he does a cool trick. The pit bull alerts MTM when her blood sugar gets too low. The dog senses when something isn’t right and sits down in front of MTM until she fixes herself.

A 13-yr old girl was attacked by a police dog when she tried to save her own dog from being attacked. The K9 broke loose from its handler, a state trooper, and charged the girl and her dog. Hmmm… Had the roles been reversed there would be a dead dog and charges pending on its owner.
